"I Only Want To Be With You" is a song by Mike Hawker and Ivor Raymonde. It was the first solo single released by British singer Dusty Springfield under her long-time producer Johnny Franz. Recorded while she was still a member of The Springfields,

Non-charting covers

Chelsia Chan recorded the song in 1975 for her debut album Dark Side Of Your Mind.
Luis Miguel recorded a Spanish-language version of the song in 1987, called "Ahora Te Puedes Marchar" (Now you can leave).
Sir Elton John performed the song at a solo show at the Civic Center Arena, Illinois, the day of Dusty Springfield's death in 1999. He introduced the song saying Dusty, wherever you are, this one's for you, my love, with all my love.

• Me First and the Gimme Gimmes did a cover of the song on their 2001 album Blow in the Wind.

Thames Television goodbye broadcast

The Tourists' version of the song reappeared on December 31, 1992-1 January 1993 when Thames Television left broadcasting forever in the United Kingdom from ITV before Carlton Television began broadcasting. The retrospective program had that song with clips. There was no dialogue and sound, just the song. And in the ending of the broadcast, lines appeared and an announcer narrated the lines: "Thames: A Talent for Television...".

• A cover by Twiggy and Twiggy (possibly the one mentioned above) is on the soundtrack of Dead Man on Campus
• The song was used in the British soap opera EastEnders when the character Sam Mitchell dug up the body of Den Watts.
• The Song Was Used By (TVNZ) to promote (TV2) changing the words to "I only want to be with 2!"
