English Basic & Advanced Grammars

i would like to put here in this topic all of basic and advanced english grammars

may be some contents of this topic are repeated ... but the most of the contents are'nt mentioned yet !!!

let's talk about,
Past tense, present tense and future tense
Past tense,
1- past simple tense
2- past continuous tens
3- past perfect tense
Example of Past simple tense,
He slept early last night
another Example of past continuous tense,
He was reading a book yesterday
An example of past perfect tense
He had slept early

Now let talk about present tenses
1- persent simple
2- present continuous
3- present perfect tense
an example of present simple,
He watches the football match
another Ex, of present continuous
I'm having my dinner with my family

An example of present perfect tense
He has gone to home

we do have some books of english ggrammar, if you take a look around the whole english section or Akhawia's library , i am sure you will find what you are looking for.

u'll see when ur reading stories and magazines that sentences :
The kidnappers demand that we be on time
I recommended that she not study immediately
I requested that he hand his homework in
It is essential that they be told soon

in first sentence : why we're saying be after we , why not saying we are be ???
in second sentence : same thing , she not why not saying she doesn't ???
in third sentence : he hand , when it should be : he hands???
in forth sentence : you'll ask your selves why we say they be , why not saying : they be told or they are told ???

i'll give you here a grammar that explain this mistake( ofcourse just in your mind )
it's "SubJunctive Verbs"
those verbs if they came before word like "that" the main verb automatically will be converted to it's source or origin
the words like "that" are : advise , ask , demand , insist , propose , recommend , request ,
e.g:
i advise that he comes early
should be :
i advise that he come early ( deleting (s) from "comes" word )
and if we have here "not" , its assistant verb will be deleted and stay "not" alone
e.g:
i propose that she not come with you
